The 1st Vancouver Pathfinders were at the Sunshine Coast Food Bank on Aug. 8 to learn and participate.
One of young women was completing her leadership activity with the support of six others as well as two Girl Guide leaders.
Collectively they were first given a tour and some basic information about the Food Bank. From there they divided into groups to harvest food from the garden, decant food into portion sizes, fold cash register receipts and engage with participants at the picnic table.
Pictured are some of these future leaders, who left with a greater appreciation and understanding of those in less fortunate circumstances.
