June is high season for beautiful gardens, and this Saturday (June 26) will be an excellent day to visit six of the Coast's most exquisite ones.
A self-guided tour of private gardens organized by the Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. includes dazzling gardens from intimate to expansive, woodland to waterfront, English country style to avant-garde. See nearly every plant that grows in our Sunshine Coast climate - late-blooming rhododendrons, special maples, vegetables and perennials galore. There are plenty of surprises too, including some of the finest scents imaginable.
Nothing beats a visit to some fine gardens for inspiring you in your own. It's a perfect way to spend time learning and finding inspiration from other gardeners. Form a carpool of friends and enjoy a delightful day.
Tickets are on sale now at all Coast nurseries for $15 for garden society members and $20 for non-members. Visit www.coastbotanicalgarden.org for more event details.
