The Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary Thrift Store is grateful for all the donations residents bring in, but remind donors that there are some items the store cannot accept due to either lack of room, health restrictions or because they are forbidden by law.
Please do not drop off TV sets, large pieces of furniture, household garbage, bed pillows, baby car seats, high chairs, cribs, safety helmets or blinds that do not have the child safety attachments on them. Also soiled and/or damaged clothing cannot be put out for sale.
“When these items appear at our door, it costs us money and time to take them to the proper agencies that can deal with them,” chair Jane Bader said in a release. “This takes away from what we are able to give to our hospital and local healthcare organizations. We all benefit when we work together!”
The Thrift Store will be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 9, 2017 inclusive.
