St. Hilda’s Anglican Church is hosting a public lecture on Monday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. called “An Inter-spiritual Christianity.”
Rev. Matthew Wright, a 30-year-old writer, retreat leader and past presenter at the annual Science and Non-Duality Conferences in California, will address what it means, “in a globalized world with easy access to all the great faith traditions,” to be entering an “inter-spiritual age.”
Questions Wright will address, according to a release issued by the church, include: “How does this impact the Christian faith? In what ways can Christianity come of age as a vital contemplative wisdom path for the 21st century, drawing on the wisdom of other faith traditions? Does this mean knowing more or knowing deeper? Is the institutional church becoming obsolete?”
Admission is by donation ($10 to $15 suggested) and free for all full-time students.
St. Hilda’s Church is located at 5838 Barnacle St. in Sechelt (beside the Rockwood Centre).
