On Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Elphinstone Secondary School’s leadership class and Interact club invite you to take part in Ford’s Drive 4UR Community event. For every vehicle that is test driven that day, Ford will donate $20 to charities selected by the students.
Proceeds will go towards the Roberts Creek Firefighters, Search and Rescue, clean water and sanitation in Kenya and the Hippo water roller project. This project, sponsored by Rotary, provides cylindrical plastic water containers to women all over Africa. The device can be pushed rather than carried and can hold five times more water than the average container, greatly reducing the amount of time it takes for women and children to fetch water.
Participants can preregister for the event at www.drive4ur.com/en/elphinstonesecondaryschoolfreethechildren
The event will take place in front of Elphinstone Secondary and is completely free of charge. There will also be a delectable homemade bake sale put on by the students and refreshments will be available.
On May 7, come help (test) drive towards a better future.
