Surpass 2015, a leadership-focused camp for 30 teens aged 13 to 17 years happened July 12 to 19 out of Camp Byng.
During their week together, this amazing group of youth swam, hiked, made movies, learned puppeteering, played about a gazillion games and enjoyed other workshops with the help of local, talented mentors. Attended by local teens and others from around the province, Surpass, sponsored by SelfDesign Learning Community, an online school, has taken thorough advantage of the remarkable benefits and beauty of Camp Byng as a staging ground for Surpass for the past seven years.
Surpass organizer and local resident Michael Maser thanked Scouts Canada, Russ Qureshi, Jill Shatford, Kevin Crofton, Trevor Chapman, GBS, Trauma West Counselling and Howe Sound Pharmacy for their support in making this Surpass so successful and meaningful for all who attended.
