The Sunshine Coast Quilters’ Guild was presented with a cheque of $1,250 by Dave Code, incoming president of the Gibsons Rotary Club.  The presentation took place at the guild’s monthly meeting on Jan. 28.  The cheque is to go towards expenses incurred to help the guild provide the community with quilts. As an example, in 2022 there were 147 babies born on the Coast and each were offered a baby quilt. Cole is seen presenting the cheque to Sue Lowell, president of the SCQG and Lois Anderson chair of the Comfort Society, which is part of the guild. Behind them is the raffle quilt, which will be won at the May 26-27 Quilt Show at the Gibsons Community Centre. Guests are welcome to attend guild meetings for a small fee and more information can be found on line www.scquiltersguild.com.
