The ninth annual Children's Winter Faire at Sun Haven Waldorf School is set for this Saturday, Nov. 19, and offers lots of holiday cheer for the whole family from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The fair has always been the community's opportunity to kick off the holiday season and truly share in the Christmas spirit, with activities ranging from old-fashioned candle dipping to puppet shows to walks through the magic cookie house. The Winter Faire leaves children of all ages smiling and fulfilled.
This year Sun Haven will be showcasing many talented local artists including fiddlers, a pianist, a children's choir along with the wonderful sounds of a harp. You will also be able to pick out a special little hand-crafted gnome and build him a beautiful garden home that you take with you as both a toy and a decoration to celebrate the season. All of this will help capture the children's attention and leave them feeling inspired and joyous as winter approaches.
So come join with other Sunshine Coast families and celebrate this festive season at this special event that children look forward to year after year. While holding true to many of our beloved traditions, we are also stretching our imagination and introducing great new ideas and activities.
Be prepared for a total transformation of the school and its grounds into a magical winter wonderland with delicious food including a full lunch with fresh West Coast wild salmon, vegetarian lasagna and other great snacks. You will also gain access to the craft marketplace, children's activities, and much more! Bring your friends, family, and neighbours to attend and experience the magic and excitement.
The school is located at Camp Douglas on Beach Avenue at Margaret Road in Roberts Creek.
