The June 14 School District No. 46 (SD46) board meeting was the last meeting for student trustee Wyatt Henley, who has served for a year on the board.
Henley graduates this year and will therefore give up his post for another Grade 12 student to take over in September.
In his final report to the board, Henley said students have recently met to elect new members of the district student leadership team and lay out the team’s goals for the next year. A new student trustee will be chosen from among the team in September.
School board chair Betty Baxter thanked Henley for his work on the board over the past year and presented him with an SD46 jacket in recognition.
“We want to show our appreciation,” Baxter said. “You’ve been a wonderful trustee to have.”
