St. Patrick's Day fun

Go green on St. Patrick's Day and have fun at Gibsons and District Public Library. Wear something green (hat, shirt, coat, tie) and bring your own tea cup to the library. Your cup will runneth over when we serve you a nice cup of Irish tea.

Go green on St. Patrick's Day and have fun at Gibsons and District Public Library.

Wear something green (hat, shirt, coat, tie) and bring your own tea cup to the library. Your cup will runneth over when we serve you a nice cup of Irish tea. If you have the luck of the Irish, there'll be a piece of soda bread too.

At 1 p.m., the Coast String Fiddlers will serenade with lively Irish music for one set. Following the Fiddlers, the Sunshine Coast Arbutus Sounds Chorus will sing so sweetly they will surely bring a tear to your eye (so they will).

Come to the library on Saturday, March 17, from 1 to 3 p.m., and while you're there, check out books by Irish authors: tea, music and books await you.

Book lovers wanted

The library recently put out an APB looking for book lovers for three reading circles: March 3, April 14 and May 12.

At the first session, a group of feisty readers who love a good book turned up. These book lovers enjoyed their spirited and lively book conversation so much that they requested the library run an extra session.

So join the book lovers at the library on Wednesday, March 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Bring your favourite book and share your thoughts with other avid readers.

For questions and RSVPs, call Lynda at the library at 604-886-2130.
