The first of the Coastal Seshins festivities, presented by MVMT IK Promotions & Events, is all set to take over the Gibsons Skate Park, this Saturday, June 4.
This is a free entry event, kicking off at noon, and is the primary creation of local BMXer Nik Muryn.
Muryn is the brain and soul behind MVMT IK, a not-for-profit organization that is harnessing Coast energies to bring the community various events with the notable help of devoted friends and collaborators.
Coastal Seshins' is therefore gearing up in full force to set ablaze the skate park this Saturday as a focal point of recreation and good times for all the Coast community.
The whole concept of Coastal Seshins is that it is essentially a day festival in the park, featuring music spun by local DJs Deano, Jason Whyte (Operation Honeybee), Robby LuvDub, Hightower and Mikey Bang. There will be giveaways from major and local gear companies, a barbecue by Crossroads Grill (all the way from Madeira Park) and ultimately a celebration of the rich and diverse skate and BMX culture that lives and breathes right here on the Sunshine Coast.
Several photographers and film media will be present to capture the force of Coastal Seshins, channelling the action into art that will celebrate culture beyond the one-day event.
In honour of the start of summer, this event is not to be missed! Get down there this Saturday to ride, watch, enjoy and just hang out in the skate park.
