The Rotary Club of Sechelt organized dozens of its Friends of Rotary to design, make, and/or handwrite over 1,300 heartfelt Valentine's thank you cards for all of the healthcare workers on the Sunshine Coast for Valentine’s Day 2023.

We're grateful to every one of our healthcare workers for their wonderful and dedicated service to us and wanted to show our appreciation with cards and chocolates. Rotary also wishes to thank all the creative and caring card writers! A special shout out to the many school students for their awesome and creative cards.

This year we delivered to numerous healthcare and frontline workers locations. that range from the Sechelt Hospital to local labs. The hospital deliveries included the mental health building, homecare services, ambulatory, medical imaging, OBYGN, all locums, et al. Plus health clinics; longterm care facilities; ophthalmol clinics; dental clinics; Life Labs; RainCity buildings; ambulance buildings. Etc! Etc!

Just to draw attention to the health care workers at the Sechelt Hospital we will again be flying a cluster of flags outside the hospital around Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day is not just about flowers and romantic cards, it’s about compassion, respect and honour for our friends and fellow human beings. All the qualities shown by the Sunshine Coast healthcare workers.
