Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 112 is open and will host its annual golf tournament Saturday, Aug. 14 starting at 2 p.m. The playing format is a modified Texas Scramble. Entries are $50 per person which includes golf, dinner, and prizes.

Entries are $50 per person which includes golf, dinner, and prizes. Power cart rentals are not included in this entry fee. Registrations are accepted at the legion and the tournament entry deadline is Aug. 1. Register early to avoid disappointment.

On Friday nights at the legion, fish and chips is the dinner special with live music with Eddy Edrik.

Brandon Isaak sold out in a record-breaking three days! You can get your musical fix this week at The Clubhouse with the extremely entertaining Dr. Fun Solo Show, 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 23. Sunday, July 25, Poppa Greg returns 2 to 5 p.m. for cool summertime blues and all-time favourite tunes. $5 cover. Reserve your table now.

The Madeira Market is expanding to two days! Come visit, come shop Fridays (new) 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This week Bare Essentials, Beads and Blooms, Huckleberry Studio, Judy’s Handcrafted Wood Burned Creations and Wendy’s Bakery. Harbourside Friendship, Thursday drop-in program carries on through August in the courtyard by the hall. Self-distancing rules in place. Bring a packed lunch, enjoy a variety of entertainment and a safe, social good time. Carpet bowling rolls on Wednesdays, 1 to 3 p.m. $3 drop in. Chair yoga happens Mondays and Fridays 11 a.m. to noon with Carole Logtenberg. Improve your balance, strength, and flexibility with gentle moves. Both activities at the hall.

Sunny has been working hard for all you dedicated players and now bingo is coming back Aug. 5! Doors open at 5 p.m. Early Bird Bingo 6:30 p.m. and Regular Bingo at 7 p.m. Must be 19 years of age to play. Good luck!

Baked on The Coast opened recently at the Harbour Spirit Centre. Their delicious creations include sticky cinny buns, beautiful breads, cookies, doughnuts, and desserts along with iced coffees, ice cream floats and soft served ice cream. These hardworking folks not only create amazing culinary delights for customers to enjoy – at the end of the day the goodies unsold are packaged, frozen and donated to the Pender Harbour Food Bank Society, who are incredibly grateful for this ongoing sweet donation.
