The Pender Harbour Blues Society and Joe Stanton Music are thrilled to present The Precious Littles Reunion Picnic on Saturday, Sept. 9, starting at 2 p.m. at Lions Park, Madeira Park. Vancouver singer/songwriter, Elliot C. Way will be performing. The Aqui Es Mexico Food Truck and a cash bar will be on site. Camping is available. Tickets $30 available online at www.phblues.ca
The Pender Harbour Aquatic Society and the SCRD are hosting a gala opening for the 2023/2024 fall season, Sept. 17. This event will also mark the 40 plus years of service that the PHA Facility has provided to the Pender Harbour area. The event will include free access to the facility from noon until 4 p.m and free hamburgers from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Come join the celebration!
The Pender Harbour Wildlife Society will host their first in person presentation Sept. 19. Guest speakers will be Karen Cummins and Jan Smith from MARS Wildlife Rescue Centre in Merville, B.C. More details in next week’s column.
