Robert "Bob" Benner passed away peacefully at the age of 69, in Sechelt, BC, on December 28th, 2022.

Bob was born in New Westminster on May 15th, 1953, to Louis "Sonny" and Audrey Benner.

In 1956 the Benners relocated to the Sunshine Coast, where they welcomed three more sons. Bob attended elementary school at Sechelt Elementary and secondary school at Elphinstone Secondary. Bob excelled in many sports, particularly track and field and baseball.

Bob enjoyed his retirement with a part-time job at the local Home Hardware, repairing saws for the new and upcoming fallers of the coast. He spent his time mostly watching sports, fishing and visiting his family members.

Bob is survived by his children, Stephanie, Jill, Paula, Adrienne, Kelly, and Heidi; grandchildren, Tristan, Nolan, Kamyiah, Nova, Faith, and Grace; brothers, Dale (Sally), Randy (Holly) and Gary (Tracey); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bob is predeceased by his best friend and fellow faller, John Phare, his partner, Wendy Bartlett, his parents, Sonny and Audrey Benner, and his little dog, Coco.

A celebration of life will be held in early spring 2023.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff, doctors and nurses of Sechelt Hospital.
