April 12th one of life's treasures left us to travel places unknown.

Patricia lived life with grace and style that inspired us all. A visit with her was always filled with wit, travel stories and her uncanny ability to tell it how it is without offending, always a lady. Born in London, Ontario, Patricia moved west to Vancouver in the 60's with her husband, Harry. They split their time between Vancouver and Whistler before retiring to Sechelt.

Patricia was a successful businessperson in Vancouver, using her keen mind, sense of style and her ability to touch people with her honesty. She knew how to put things together for the maximum effect. She entertained with flair - everything was thought out from the table setting to the menu and beautifully presented. There were always flowers. She loved flowers and traveled to many countries to tour gardens. You could spend a fascinating afternoon with her just talking about what she had learned. She was actively involved with the Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens, committed to see it grow.

She loved to travel and had so many stories to tell. She and Harry would add to their extensive art collection along the way, and she would share the story of each piece with you. Her cats and dogs brought her so much joy. The dogs always rode in the front seat. Her hat on, the top down and off on an adventure. They knew how much she loved them.

Patricia is predeceased by her husband, Harry Bekke, and is survived by family and friends who loved her dearly. Thank you to the team that led her through these last few months, when we have a common goal, good things happen. Larger than life, she will be missed so much by her friends and family and Rocco.

Happy travels Patricia. In lieu of flowers, please be inspired by Patricia to plant a garden bed, buy a bouquet of flowers, travel somewhere new - even if it's just around the corner, and seek out and support artists.
