March 26, 1933 - June 30, 2025

Leslie passed away in his sleep at the age of 92. He was born in the small village of Gooseberry Cove, Newfoundland, to parents Adam (George) and Maude Pitcher. Leslie was the eldest of twelve children.

As a young man, Leslie served as a missionary in Belize. He met the love of his life, Braulia, and they married in 1957. They moved to Ontario, where their daughter Carroll was born in 1960. Their son George was born in Regina in 1964. After several more moves, including the Yukon and Newfoundland, the family relocated to BC, where they settled.

Leslie loved music and could always find a guitar. He had a distinctive, resonant speaking and singing voice. He enjoyed a good “Newfie” joke and loved dogs. Leslie was devoted to his God, Jehovah and remained faithful to the end of his life.

Leslie is missed by his son George (Jennifer), daughter Carroll (David) Tessier, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. As well as by his enormous extended family and wide circle of friends. He is predeceased by four siblings, his granddaughter Ocean in 2021 and his beloved wife in 2023.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Shorncliffe and Silverstone for their exceptional care of our beloved Leslie. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
