Dominic James Alfred Doyle, known as Jim, JD or Poppa Jim, passed away peacefully after a brief but brave five-week battle with cancer, surrounded by the love and presence of his family every step of the way.

Jim was a logger and proudly called himself one. After he retired from logging, Jim worked at the gravel pit for many years, and then he went to work for Swanson's Ready-mix doing gravel sale deliveries.

Jim always had a smile on his face, and loved to stop and chit chat with everyone he met. He was a man who found joy in the simple things. He loved spending time in his workshop, where he built beautiful jewelry boxes, birdhouses, tables, and chairs that he loved to give away. He had a special love for his garlic patch, which he tended with great pride and joy.

Jim was known for his sharp sense of humour, gentle chuckle, and the way he could bring a room to life with a good story.

Jim will be missed beyond words by his beloved wife of 53 years, Jaci; his sons Scott (Tara) and Brian (Jay); his cherished granddaughters Kailey (Caleb) and Megan (Jaxon); and his adored great-granddaughter Hayden. His face would light up whenever he spoke of the deep love he had for his wife and children, and his eyes would twinkle with joy when talking about his granddaughters and great-granddaughter. He was a proud man.

Jim will also be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his extended family and many dear friends, whose lives were made better by knowing him.

The Doyle family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the kind and compassionate nurses at Sechelt Hospital, as well as Dr. Jaschinski, Dr. Adams, Dr. Goojha, and the incredible Hospice care team at Silverstone for their exceptional support during Jim's final weeks.

As our Jimmy would always say, Ta ta for now.
