Obituary: In Loving Memory of June (Hamilton) Rodgers

June (Hamilton) Rodgers passed away on February 29, 2024 after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. 

June was born on June 30, 1948 in New Westminster, BC. She was raised and brought up by her family in Maple Ridge, retiring to the beautiful Sunshine Coast with her beloved husband, Dale. She finished her working career owning and operating Black Bear Brewing in Maple Ridge. 

June found joy in crocheting, a passion she generously shared with her family, friends and acquaintances through handmade hats, scarves, blankets and much more. 

June was predeceased by her parents, Betty (2020) and Eric (2023). She is survived by her loving husband, Dale; her sister, Brenda (Kevin) Williams; daughter Lisa (Rob) Henderson and son Shane (Jodie) Marshall; a grandson she loved dearly, Quinton; and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed. 

The celebration of June’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Maple Ridge Branch #088, 12101 - 224th Street, Maple Ridge, BC on Saturday, May 11 from 1pm to 4pm.
