Obituary: Donna M. Forsyth

'Donna was a kind and gentle soul, with never a bad word or feeling for anyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.'

July 20, 1938 - May 11, 2023

It is with deep love, respect, and sadness that the family of Donna Marie Forsyth announce her passing on May 11, 2023, at the age of 84. Donna was born in Burns Lake on July, 20, 1938, to parents James and Hazel Funnel. She lived in Burns Lake until grade 12, moving to prince George for grade 13, and then down to Vancouver for business school. After working for a few years, Donna moved back to Burns Lake, got married and had three children. In 1966, Donna and her family moved to Gibsons where, other than three years spent living in Burnaby, she lived for the rest of her life. She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her two loves: her beloved family and her church, which she had belonged to since her teenage years. Donna was a kind and gentle soul, with never a bad word or feeling for anyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 65 years, Tucker; her three children, Scott (Marj), Cathy (Mike), and Maureen; her five grandchildren, Dawn (Blair), Brad (Julia), Trevor (Sarah), Mallory, and David (Heather); her eight great-grandchildren, and her brother Stanley (Gina). The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to Dr. McCall, Coastal Health nurses and care aides, and the many others who so kindly looked after Donna during her last days. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Donna's name.
