The ninth annual Pender Harbour Fall Faire is just around the corner.

The Faire is set for Saturday, Oct. 3 when Madeira Park will transform into a fun-filled centre of festivities.

Jump on the hayride to get around town and see all the events. Check out the harvest exhibition at the Pender Harbour Legion, with categories such as garden produce, baking, floral displays, and winemaking. Enter the third amateur photo contest, or the students' photo contest. Entry forms for all contests are available from the Pender Harbour Community School, Bluewaters Books in Madeira Park, and John Henry's in Garden Bay. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.

Do some early Christmas shopping at the community hall, where 25 artisans from along the Coast will be selling their handmade crafts. Enjoy live music as Gaetan Bergevin provides on-stage entertainment.

There will be lots of kids activities around town including cookie decorating, pumpkin carving, boatbuilding, the bouncy castle (weather permitting) and face painting. Other events include a silent art auction held by the Harbour Artists in the Harbour Gallery, as well as a mechanical cow-milking contest, bulb sales and a special fish and chips lunch at the Legion.

Fall Faire raffle tickets will be on sale at plenty of locations in Madeira Park. First prize is a two-night package at the Painted Boat which includes two dinners and $100 towards a visit to their spa. Second prize is a heron sculpture by Diane Baron. Third prize is a framed 16x20 heron photograph by Peggy Collins. Fourth prize is dinner for two at Ruby Lake Resort.

There's something for the whole family to enjoy at this year's Fall Faire, so come to Madeira Park for the celebration.
