In January, the Gibsons Lions Club held a fundraiser selling food from their catering trailer to support the local food banks.

This service project was part of the Centennial service projects for Lions International. About 1.4 million Lions in more than 210 countries participated, with 72,147,069 million people receiving support during that one week.

The Gibsons Lions Club presented the Salvation Army Food Bank and the St. Bartholomew’s Food Bank a total of $500.

The club extended its thanks for donations from the community, including some of the employees at the mill.

Where there’s a need, there’s a Lion!
