Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109 member Joe Bradley (right) presents a cheque for $5,000 to Gibsons Lions Club president Bob Nordlund. Over the past year, Gibsons Legion members have contributed $2,500 in coins to their Penny Bank Drive. As well, the Branch 109 Ladies Auxiliary has raised $2,500. The proceeds of these two fundraisers will be used to send two local children to Camp Squamish, an Easter Seal House summer camp for challenged children. The funds will be forwarded to the Timmy’s Easter Seal Telethon.
