Representatives from Search and Rescue, the Sechelt Fire Department, the Sunshine Coast Emergency Program, the ambulance service and MLA Nicholas Simons’ office stand with volunteers Liam and Lisa Stackwood (with their service dogs) from Honour House during an Honour House provincial tour that stopped in Sechelt May 3.
Honour House provides a home away from home for members of emergency services and military personnel and their families when they’re injured or ill and need a place to stay in the Lower Mainland while they recover.
The Stackwoods are driving an RV around the province to raise awareness of Honour House and to promote a new post traumatic stress disorder care program Honour House is putting in place this year.
