Grateful to accept the donation last weekend were (from left): board members Helen Charko, Wanda Keay, John Byrnes and Linda White France, Brian Mullins, Corin Mullins, member Val Clarke and board member Carol Goodwin.

For the third year in a row, Corin and Brian Mullins, co-founders of Holy Crap cereal company, visited the Sechelt Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market to present a donation of $500 and a basket of goodies that can be raffled off for the benefit of the Market.

The Mullins have a long relationship with the Market, introducing Holy Crap to the Sunshine Coast community from there in 2009. Holy Crap and their other cereal products became a hit here on the Coast, as well as at other B.C. markets, and led the couple to CBC’s Dragons Den where they were offered a contract for their product.

They chose to open a factory in Gibsons and employ locals to expand their business. Brian and Corin continue to sell their products around the world today. Brian tells us they will be on Dragons Den again this year, so stay tuned for further developments.

Visit the Market for farm produce, plants, baking and a wonderful variety of artisan made crafts every Saturday until the end of September from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Cowrie Street in Sechelt.
