Pender Harbour & Egmont

The 15th annual Pender Harbour Blues Festival is here and happening, bringing world class music to venues throughout the Harbour. The Slocat will be available for transportation on Friday and Saturday nights and for wonderful harbour tours. Visit www.slocat.ca. 

Egmont Day is a full day of family fun and celebration this Saturday, June 2 downtown and at the government wharf. The kids’ fishing derby hits the water at 9 a.m. with the parade, BBQ lunch, games and prizes, petting zoo and a chili cook off. 

Harbourside Friendship June 7 welcomes RCMP Sgt. Don Newman and PH Community Policing presenting KIT: Keep In Touch. Join the gathering 10:30 a.m. at the PH Community Hall. 

Friday, June 8 the Pender Harbour Music Society Coffee House at the School of Music presents Back Porch Reunion, Roger Maidens, and Matt Richards. Doors open at 7 p.m. Music at 7:30 p.m. Coffee and goodies sold. 

Pender Harbour Community School would like to offer a summer camp weekdays from July 9 to 20. Interested? Please contact the Community School at 604-883-2827 by June 7. Kids Senior Cooking class for kids grades 4 to 6, Tuesday June 12 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Mad Park Bistro is $10. Space is limited; register at 604-883-2826.
