Serendipity Christmas Craft Fair Extravaganza is this Saturday, Nov. 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pender Harbour Community Hall. Shop till you drop and enjoy a delicious lunch and a visit with Santa. Win at 50/50 and place your bid at the silent auction. Admission is free.
This Saturday is also the start of the annual Christmas sale at Harbour Gallery. This year’s theme is Let It Snow. Come out to the Legion for their Grey Cup open house this Sunday and enjoy the 10-foot TV screens and the new look. Everyone is welcome. The Christmas giant ham/turkey draw and pie auction is Dec. 17.
The Pender Harbour Choir is set to brighten the season with a little fun and a wonderful collection of delightful music. Join the choir for A Special Time of Year, a celebration of the season featuring festive treats, socializing and music. Directed by Kenneth Norman Johnson and accompanied by David Poon, the Pender Harbour Choir will delight with familiar favourites and new songs of the season. Festivities start with a reception at 1 p.m., followed by the concert program at 1:30 p.m. The event will be held Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden and Dec. 11 at the Pender Harbour School of Music. Tickets are $20, available from choir members, Sechelt Visitor Centre and EarthFair Store.
Sunshine Coast Health Care Auxiliary is once again offering an alternative to Christmas cards. The Tree That Gives is a great way to send out your Christmas greetings. Consider donating to the Sunshine Coast Health Centre Auxiliary by calling Kay at 604-883-9155 by Dec. 16, and your Christmas greeting will appear in Coast Reporter Dec. 23.
Harbourside Friend-ships Thursday is all about fun and games – ping pong, carpet bowling, cards and the ever-popular noodle batting at 10:30 a.m. with a hot lunch served at noon for $10. Yoga Friday is 9 to 10 a.m. for floor mat exercises and chair yoga 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. All activities take place at the Hall.
