Pender Harbour Music Society welcomes Charlotte Diamond and her son Matt for two performances this Saturday, Oct. 22 at the School of Music. A celebrated entertainer, singer and songwriter, she continues to be the voice and face that delight children and their adults at festivals and school programs. In recent years, Charlotte has added son Matt to the program and the resulting harmonies from the double Diamonds are guaranteed to put a smile on the face and a twinkle in the step of children of all ages. Come to the Pender Harbour Women’s Con-nection on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. at the School of Music and hear guest Mike Price speak about his nine-week visit in 2010/11 as a NGO volunteer to Iloilo City in the Philippines. Mike advised the water board and nine local governments about supplying water for rural and urban use. Become a Women’s Connection member for $10 annual fee. Seniors Initiative activities this weekend include carpet bowling Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. Harbouside Friendship on Thursday, Oct. 27 is a Halloween party starting at 10:30 a.m. Put on your best costume and join the party. Friday is yoga 9 to 10 a.m. using floor mats, followed by chair yoga 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sign up for the bus trip to enjoy the live performance of Funtastics Laugh In at the Sechelt Activity Centre Nov. 6. Return trip on the Duck Bus and show cost $30.
