FLAIR in Pender Harbour will be held this Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Lillies Lake Village Activity Centre, 10 a.m. to noon. The Sunshine Coast Society for the Hunting Recognition and Observation of Mushrooms (SHROOM) presents its eighth annual mushroom festival with the main event taking place Saturday, Oct. 15 at the PH Community Hall. Tables in the hall will be loaded with hundreds of local species, and knowledgeable members of SHROOM will be on hand to help safely identify each mushroom. Vendors will be selling local food items, books and crafts. There will be cooking demonstrations and tastings, and raffles for gift baskets and prizes.
