Pender Harbour Music Society’s Coffee House on Friday, May 13 will be another evening of great local entertainment with Baili Clarke and Angie, Bits of String, and Simon Paradis. Coffee and goodies for sale. Doors open at 7 p.m.; music at 7:30 p.m.

Barbara McAllister will speak at Flair on the Coast Cancer Support Group’s May 14 meeting from 10 a.m. to noon at the Rockwood Centre in Sechelt. Barb specializes in reflexology and sound vibrational healing. For more, call 604-883-0660.

Saturday, May 14, the P.H. Reading Centre is hosting a strawberry tea and book reading featuring local authors Betty Keller and Rosella Leslie at 1 p.m. at the School of Music. Admission by donation.

Sunday, May 15, join the Pender Harbour Music Society for the final event of this exceptional season: Duo Rendezvous 2 p.m. at the School of Music. Tickets are available from Harbour Insurance, Sechelt Visitor Centre and online at penderharbourmusic.ca

Pender Harbour Garden Club’s meeting on Monday, May 16 at 1 p.m. will be a tour of Ron and Carla Knight’s Caron Gardens including refreshments and a talk from Ron Knight about hints on working smarter in the garden. See phgardenclub.ca for details.

Pender Harbour Wildlife Society presents a forum with local conservation officer Dean Miller, on Tuesday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at Pender Harbour Secondary School. Dean will speak about conservation strategies in human wildlife conflict. Open to everyone; no membership required. Updates at [email protected]

Seniors Initiative offers carpet bowling Wednesday 1 to 3 p.m. Harbourside Friendship, Thursday starting at 10:30 a.m., features music from Joan and Ted. Both events are at the Hall.

Kids can come decorate their bikes for the May Day parade, at the Community Hall on Friday, May 20 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Bring decorations and your bike.

Parents are welcome to come and help out. Be sure to get an entry form at Harbour Insurance if you would like to enter your bike in the contest.

Dance with A.D.D. at the Legion to classic rock and blues, Saturday, May 21, 8 p.m. to midnight. Pull the Ace jackpot is now $975!

Artist Bob James (Plumb Bob) welcomes everyone to visit studio103 at Harbour Spirit Centre. This beautiful co-operative gallery showcases the fine works of James, Cindy Cantelon, Heather Wright, Melissa Tulloch, Ron Badley and Patrick Skidd.
