The Pender Harbour Blues Society is pleased to present The Boom Booms this Saturday, March 26 at the PH Community Hall. The P.H. Aquatic and Fitness Centre (PHAFC) will be open regular scheduled hours during spring break until March 29. All drop-in fitness programs will run as usual. The facility will be closed Good Friday, March 25 and Easter Monday, March 28. Registration for spring session of swim lessons is open now; lessons begin March 29.

Seniors Initiative carpet bowling is Wednesday, March 30, 1 to 3 p.m. Harbourside Friendship meets Thursday for a current events discussion. Yoga on Friday for 55-plus is 9 to 10 a.m., and chair yoga is 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. All events are at the P.H. Community Hall.

Help! After 40 years, bingo night is in danger of shutting down. More players are needed. Bingo is a very important Community Club activity and needs your support. Thursday night the doors open at 6 p.m. and games begin at 7 p.m. Every night $600 in prize money is waiting to be won. Come out to the Pender Harbour Community Hall and have some fun, visit with friends and keep this game going!

The Pender Harbour Music Society presents Brandon Isaak on Sunday, April 17, 2 p.m. at the School of Music. Isaak is a roots-based Canadian artist “with some strong things to say and an old school blues way of saying it.” His styles range from Delta slide to rollicking country blues, and he “plays the blues as though his soul is rooted south of Memphis,” says his website. Tickets are at Harbour Insurance, Sechelt Visitor Centre and online at www.penderharbourmusic.ca

The Community Club will hold their annual plant sale on April 30 at the Serendipity Spring Craft Fair. All you talented gardeners, while you are thinning and dividing, please save some of your treasures for the sale. They can be left at the Hall, or call Muriel at 604-883-2609.
