This Saturday, Feb. 27, come to the sweetest event of the year – the BCSPCA National Cupcake Day at the EarthFair Store in downtown Madeira Park, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be delicious cupcakes, cream puffs, tarts, pies, breads, and pupcakes, lovingly baked by our talented local women. Now more than ever funds are critically needed to fight animal cruelty and help those cats, dogs, puppies and kittens rescued in three seizures this month. At the Legion this weekend, the Lions Club is having a Quiz Night Friday night following fish and chips dinner. There will not be a meat draw Saturday, but Sunday is a go. The Pull the Ace jackpot is now $700! The kitchen is open Wednesday through Saturday.
Seniors Initiative has a special dinner event Tuesday, March 1, at 4:30 p.m. at Emelle’s Madeira Bistro. Cost is $20 for a family style dinner with coffee and tea. On Wednesday, come carpet bowling from 1 to 3 p.m. Have more fun and games Thursday at Harbourside Friendship starting at 10:30 a.m. Lunch is served for $10. Yoga Friday 55-plus is 9 to 10 a.m., and chair yoga is 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All activities are at the Pender Harbour Community Hall.
