This Friday, Feb. 12, the Pender Harbour Music Society’s Coffee House at the School of Music welcomes ShBoom, with oldies, jazz tunes and fun, and jazz duo Anagram plus friends. Friday is also Italian Night at the Legion. Enjoy a dinner of chicken parmigiana, garlic bread, pasta, salad and dessert with live lounge entertainment. Everybody welcome.

Flair on the Coast meets Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Rockwood Centre in Sechelt, 10 a.m. to noon. Reflections on Lymphedema is the topic. Come along for coffee and friendly chat. Everyone is invited.

Saturday, Feb. 13, come to a special Valentine’s Day afternoon tea at 2 p.m. at the Egmont Community Hall. Admission is by donation. Saturday night at 7 p.m. there will be an all-ages dance with a DJ making the music at the Hall. Admission is $5.

“What goes around stays around,” a thought-provoking workshop for local business owners will take place Monday, Feb. 15, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Legion. Pender Harbour Com-munity School has new offerings and continuing favourite programs. Peacemaking: Resolving Everyday Conflict for parents of kids from birth to 8; Yoga at Sarah Wray Hall with Carol Goulette; and Standard First Aid for ages 14-plus. Call 604-883-2826 for times and to register.

Seniors Initiative lineup for this week: Wednesday Carpet Bowling 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday’s Harbourside Friendship will feature Remember When, a presentation with Greig Soohen and volunteer firemen with Fire and Fall Prevention. Yoga Friday, 55-plus at 9 a.m. and chair yoga 10:30 a.m. All activities are at the PH Community Hall.

The Pender Harbour Advisory Council is hosting its third annual Community Organizations Forum on Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the School of Music. All Pender Harbour and area organizations are welcome. RSVP via [email protected]

Bingo is back! This Thursday, Feb. 18 come out and enjoy the game, have fun and be part of a good social get-together. Players are needed to keep bingo going for the rest of the year. Doors open at 6 p.m. with bingo from 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. the Pender Harbour Reading Centre presents Kara Stanley, author of Fallen: A Trauma, a Marriage and the Transformative Power of Music. Stanley will be accompanied by her husband, Simon Paradis. Tea, catered by Doug Davis, will follow at 2 p.m. Admission is by cash donation, proceeds going to the PH Community School food program.
