The Mid-Winter Chamber Music Weekend begins Saturday, Jan. 23, and continues Sunday, Jan. 24, with the music of Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann and Clara Schumann. Violinist Gary Levinson and pianist Baya Kakouberi play two afternoon programs. On Sunday, they will be joined by celebrated cellist Andres Diaz. Saturday evening, the Legion will celebrate the 40th annual Robbie Burns celebration with a haggis dinner and entertainment from the Coast Fiddlers and Legion Pipers. Tickets are $35, available at the Legion and Harbour Insurance. There will not be a Meat Draw Saturday, but both the Meat Draw and Pull the Ace will happen on Sunday.

The Seniors Initiative has a special outing on the Duck Bus Tuesday, Jan. 26 to the Golden City Restaurant at 11 a.m. Carpet bowling is on Wednesday, 1 to 3 p.m. On Thursday, Harbourside Friendship will feature readings from local authors, and Friday is yoga morning. The Pender Harbour Women’s Connection presents Kathseva Fentiman, a counsellor, yoga teacher, healer and teacher of pure meditation who, together with her partner Andrew, runs the not-for-profit Self Realization Meditation Healing Centre in Halfmoon Bay.
