This Friday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m., come for a free potluck Christmas dinner at the Egmont Community Hall. Santa Claus will be coming with toys for all the kids! Please bring a non-perishable food donation for the food bank.
The volunteers of the Bargain Barn thrift store wish you and yours all the joy of the season. To help you get into the spirit, everything in the store will be on sale for half price this Saturday, Dec. 19. Store hours are 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Barn will then close for the holidays, reopening on Wednesday, Jan. 13. During that time, if you have gently used goods to donate, please either hang onto them until the middle of January, or call Val at 604-883-1191 to make arrangements to drop them off Dec. 20 to 24 or Jan. 2 to 12. Your support is appreciated.
Dec. 19 is the last day of the Harbour Gallery annual Christmas sale, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 12953 Gonzales Rd. in Madeira Park. Come and bid on the silent auction collage Bearly. Eleven artist members of the gallery painted three sections each. Count the hidden bears and win a small prize. Proceeds from the auction will go to the Ada Priest Memorial Bursary which is given to a PHSS art student.
Saturday, Dec. 19 is also the date for Madeira Park Legion’s Christmas ham and turkey meat draw and pie and goodies auction. Early bird draw is at 3 p.m. with the main draw at 4 p.m. There are 10 turkeys and 10 hams for you to win.
