The Pender Harbour Choir’s first performance of Merry Little Christmas is this Sunday, Dec. 6, 2 to 4 p.m. at the School of Music with a second one on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2 to 4 p.m. at the Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden. Tickets are $20 from choir members, EarthFair Store, Sechelt Visitor Centre and at the door, or reserve with Mary at 604-344-1500.
The special community meeting for Pender Harbour and Egmont hosted by the Community School and Healthy Meals Outreach program to discuss the food needs of the community is this Tuesday, Dec. 8, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Madeira Park Legion.
Wednesday, Dec. 9, Santa will be making a stop at Garden Bay Fire Department at Santa’s Open House, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fire Hall on Deller Road. There will be refreshments and hot dogs. Bring your wish list.

Thursday at Harbourside Friendship, 10:30 a.m., enjoy carols with the students. Board the Polar Express and be a judge of the Christmas light displays Tuesday, Dec. 15. Tickets are on sale at Harbour Insurance and EarthFair Store for $5.
Dec. 18 is the last day for in lieu of Christmas cards offered by the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary. The annual Serendipity Christmas Craft Fair Extravaganza is Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Hall, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be over 28 local vendors, Santa will stop by for photos from 11 a.m. to noon, and a delicious lunch and treats will be available. Serendipity Preschool will have poinsettias and Purdy’s chocolates for sale and a raffle for a basket full of vendor’s treasures.
They’re coming back! Company B Jazz Band, a six-piece vintage jazz ensemble, recreates the groundbreaking sounds of the ‘40s and ‘50s groups such as the Andrew Sisters accompanied by clarinet, sax, guitar and upright bass. The performance is Sunday, Dec. 13, 2 p.m. at the School of Music. Tickets are $25 at Harbour Insurance, Sechelt Visitors Centre and online at www.penderharbourmusic.ca.
