A welcome sign of spring, pussy willows were highly visible in Madeira last Saturday. Beautiful bouquets were sold raising funds for the BCSPCA. A huge thank you to Josephine Mayne for providing her famous and magnificent pussy willows for such a good cause..

The annual daffodil campaign in support of the Cancer Society will be in many locations near the end of the month, so wash out your favourite vases and put some money aside for this very good cause.
Daffodils will be for sale next Friday, March 28 at the Garden Bay post office from 10 a.m. to noon.
Also get your daffodils at the Madeira Park Shopping Centre, the Petro Can in Kleindale, the Backeddy Pub in Egmont and Cross Roads Café in Kleindale on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
Harbourside Friendships will also have daffodils for sale when they get together Thursday March 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the community hall. Pre-orders to businesses will be delivered next Thursday.
