Harbour-Egmont Highlights: The Merry Christmas Faire is just a week away

Pender Harbour Health Auxiliary is celebrating its 84th anniversary. This was the first health auxiliary branch established on the Coast, at St Mary’s Hospital in Garden Bay. The members, true miracle makers, ask for donations that will support health programs Coast-wide. Please send donations to Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary, Box 101, Madeira Park BC V0N 2H0.

This Saturday, Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. at the Egmont Community Hall, a meeting will be held to provide more information on the proposal by the SCRD to increase local property taxes to help fund the local fire department. Find out details of how this money will be spent.

Sunday, Dec. 5, the Legion’s Chef Ian serves up a delicious brunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. An afternoon of great live music will follow with the fabulous Sofa Kings. There’s a $5 cover at the door.

A Merry Christmas Faire, just a week away, Saturday, Dec. 11, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pender Harbour Community Hall, will have a fantastic variety of artisan vendors, exhibits from community groups and live music! Enjoy a great festive experience with friends and family in the warm and welcoming beautiful heritage hall. This encore event is hosted by the Pender Harbour Community Club. Proof of vaccination and masks required.

Harbour Gallery will be open that same day and have beautiful creations for your shopping pleasure at the faire as well. A short drive away, Coast Fibre Winter Market and Members Exhibit continues at FibreWorks Studio and Gallery 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
