Van Django, the fabulous gypsy jazz group returns to the stage this Sunday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at the School of Music. Stellar in their genre, their performances are enhanced with creativity and humour, delightful and joyful. There might be tickets available online $30 at the Pender HarbourMusic.ca/concert-tickets. The Pender Harbour Garden Club is pleased to welcome guest speaker Rand Rudland  Monday, Sept. 26. His topic is “Butterflies and how to attract them into our gardens with native plants.” Doors open at 12:45 presentation at 1 p.m. At the School of Music. Membership $15. Drop in $5. Harbour Ukulele Group Strummers H.U.G.S. re having a beginners ukulele workshop for new or very rusty ukulele players Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. at the School of Music in Madeira Park. Ongoing H.U.G.S. ukuleles meet Tuesdays 3 to 4 p.m. at the School of Music. 

Golden Rescue Canada is hosting a fundraiser Walk a Thon across the Canada Oct. 1. Karen Wells will be leading the Sunshine Coast’s event. The walk begins at 10 a.m. at Middlepoint Road beside the highway. The walk is approximately five kilometres and everyone and their dogs are welcome. Trivia Night returns to the Harbour! The Reading Centre is hosting “Reading Centre Trivia Challenge” at The Legion, Wednesday, Oct. 5 starting at 7 p.m. Proceeds go to our high school to fund field trips. Alan Stewart will MC. $5 per person, tables of six, so get your ace team together and choose a name. Topics include some related to Pender Harbour. First, second and third prizes. There will be a 50/50 Draw too. Come early to register and pay and enjoy Wednesday Wing Night. 

The Clubhouse Restaurant is back in action at the Pender Harbour Golf Club and getting rave reviews. Provision Bistro Devan Haynes has brought back good food, good times and live music. Check their website for more details.
