Hammer throw champ: Harris Marshall, Grade 12 student at Elphinstone Secondary, recently competed for Elphinstone at the North Shore Track & Field Championships in hammer throw and discus throw. He won both events and will be moving on to the Vancouver/Sea To Sky Zone Championships in his pursuit to reach the provincials in June.  Later this month, he will try to advance in shot put as well.

Throwing a 6kg hammer, he threw an impressive 45.92 metres, with his next closest competitor coming in at just over 26 metres.  He set a new record for the North Shore/Sea To Sky High School Sr. Men’s event.

In September, Harris will be joining the TWU Spartans on their track and field team.
