Halfmoon Happenings: Kids Mega Sale cancelled

Also, the Halfmoon Bay Community Association (HBCA) just released their 2023 Events Calendar
Halfmoon Bay

Hi everyone! Hope you all were safe and warm this week as we endured some wintery weather with snow and cold temperatures. Spring is just around the corner, right?

Due to lack of vendors, the Kids Mega Sale at the Halfmoon Bay Elementary School, scheduled for tomorrow, March 4 has been cancelled.

The Halfmoon Bay Nursery will be holding their Spring Sale on Saturday, March 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is advance notice for vendor registration. Vendor fee is $25/table with a $5 item to be donated to the giveaway basket. Please contact Michelle at [email protected] to register as soon as possible. There is plenty of space to accommodate vendors outside and the greenhouse has tables already in place for those wanting to be inside. Michelle shared, “We are excited to partner with the One Straw Society to do a seed swap/tuber trade. There will also be some activities for the little ones.” More details and information will be provided in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned.

The Halfmoon Bay Community Association (HBCA) just released their 2023 Events Calendar and it is jammed full of amazing events throughout the year! A volunteers event planning session was held on Feb. 13 at the fire hall in Halfmoon Bay. As luck would have it, there was a power outage, but the hall’s generator was quickly up and running while Reggie King (Reggie’s Veggies) made pizzas out front using his wood burning oven. Volunteers play an integral role for these events and are very much needed. If you would like to become a member and volunteer, please visit HBCA website at halfmoon-bay.ca/contact. They would love to have you!

The first HBCA event, the Spring Trail Clean-up, is scheduled on Saturday, April 22 with more details to come closer to the date. Check out their website at halfmoon-bay.ca for more information about the association and so much more!
