Halfmoon Happenings

Halfmoon Bay

A big welcome to the third annual Breakfast with Santa. Halfmoon Bay Community School and Halfmoon Bay Community Association will hold the breakfast in the school gym on Northwood Road. Saturday Dec. 3, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tickets will be available at the door: $6 per person, $20 family (two adults, two children), plus an item of dry goods for the Food Bank. They are still looking for volunteers. If you would be willing to help, please email Toni Morris at [email protected]

The Halfmoon Bay Com-munity Association held its board meeting to appoint directors Tuesday, and I am very proud to be appointed president. Toni Morris is vice-president, and Sylvia Bisbee secretary. We are still looking for someone with accounting or bookkeeping skills to be treasurer. Please contact me if you are interested at [email protected]

The community association expects to be very busy in the upcoming months to support several events including pickleball: 7 p.m. Wednesdays at the Halfmoon Bay Community School gym, Northwood Road. All skill levels are welcome, and all equipment is provided. This is a wonderful way to get in some exercise and meet the neighbours.

To have your say at the bay, contact me before 5 p.m. Monday at [email protected] or 604-885-5034.
