Halfmoon Happenings

Halfmoon Bay

The clocks go back this weekend, so drivers please look out for pedestrians during these darker evenings. If you are out walking please wear something bright or reflective. Light up your pets too.

Coopers Green Park Community Hall Design Workshop is on Nov. 17 from 3 to 7 p.m. The SCRD is hosting this session to obtain feedback from the community on the development of design priorities for the Coopers Green Park hall. SCRD staff from parks, recreation and planning divisions will be available to answer questions.

In early 2016, SCRD initiated the Coopers Green Park Management Plan process to help guide future decision-making as the park continues to evolve. A public questionnaire was distributed and the community hall was identified as the top priority for improvement in the park.

The workshop will take place at Coopers Green Park hall located at 5500 Fisherman Road, Halfmoon Bay. For more information, contact Ian Hall at 604-885-6812 or [email protected] and see www.scrd.ca/Coopers-Green

Pickleball is at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at the Half-moon Bay Community School. All skill levels are welcome, and all equipment is provided. Drop in charge is $3 or $20 for eight nights. This is a wonderful way to get in some exercise and meet the neighbours. No experience is required.

Breakfast with Santa is looking for volunteers this year. If you would be willing to help email Terry at [email protected] or call 604-885-5034

To have your say at the bay, contact me before 5 p.m. Monday at [email protected] or 604-885-5034.
