The Halfmoon Bay Reading Centre returns beginning Oct. 28, this time at Coopers Green. The Reading Centre hopes to reach members of the community interested in literacy, community discussion and library initiatives. Their goal is to create a space within Halfmoon Bay to allow greater accessibility of the library and its programs.
You can place a hold on a book or other library item at sechelt.bc.libraries.coop or by calling 604-885-3260 (requests are limited to Sechelt items only, no inter-library loans, no Gibsons Library items). When you receive notification that your hold is ready, you can pick up your item at Coopers Green between 10 a.m. and noon on their open dates. You can also return items at that time.
They plan to run the program twice a month; the first two dates are Oct. 28 and Nov. 18 and hopefully will continue based on interest. Come out and enjoy books, coffee and community. For more information, contact Wendy at 604-551-8461 or [email protected]
