Each year the Welcome Beach Community Asso-ciation presents a bursary to one of Halfmoon Bay’s students who is furthering his or her education after high school. This year’s recipient of the 2015 bursary, given in remembrance of Carlo Velcic, is Jordan Rossi of HMB. Congratulations, Jordan!

The Halfmoon Bay Com-munity Association third annual Golf Tournament is set for Saturday Sept. 19 at the Pender Harbour Golf Course. The $60 entry gets you nine holes of golf, with a power cart, lunch and prizes. Tournament is limited to the first 36 registrants. Contact Mike Gojevic at: [email protected].
