Halfmoon Bay Elementary School kicks their new year off with a pancake breakfast and gingerbread making activity on Monday, Jan. 6.

Joe Stanton and Simon Paradis are releasing their new CD Good Road Home - Stanton/Paradis with a performance at Coopers Green Hall on Jan. 11 at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $15 available at the Halfmoon Bay General Store and Welcome Woods Market. It promises to be a fabulous night. The opening act will be Guido Heistek, a well-known ukulele/guitarist/singer.

There will be a big contingent of VIP's from the music business in attendance, so tickets will be in short supply, get yours soon.

Sunshine Coast Regional District board chair and Halfmoon Bay area director Garry Nohr has confirmed the closest gathering point for the protest against BC Ferry cuts will be the north end of Redrooffs Road at Highway 101 on Jan. 18 at 12:30 p.m.
