Hackett Park Arts and Crafts Fair is back

August 15 & 16

This year’s Hackett Park Arts and Crafts Fair runs from Saturday, Aug. 15 to Sunday, Aug. 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Hackett Park on Trail Avenue between Medusa and Dolphin streets in Sechelt.

Once again artists and artisans from across the province will offer up a tantalizing array of one-of-a-kind arts and crafts. The fair is one of the largest juried arts and crafts fairs in the province and it is the perfect opportunity for collectors and shoppers alike to find beautiful and unique handcrafted items.

Check out returning favourites including Rock Flocks (garden creatures), Creek Clayworks, Sandra Ramos Ceramics, and Darla Van Horne Design (jewelry).  Don’t miss the newcomers such as Ratatouille (repurposed linens), Felt You Up (hats) and Red Pot Pottery.

Bring the entire family and make a day of it. Be entertained by Knotty Dotters, JustUs, Chris Ronald, Gerardo Avila’s magic act and many others over the two-day festival. Children can get their faces painted and everyone can sample the mouth-watering food choices from fresh salmon and prawns to gourmet hot dogs and vegetarian delights.

The Hackett Park Arts and Crafts Fair is presented by the Sunshine Coast Arts Council, which has been serving the community in support of the arts since 1966.  Admission is by suggested donation of $3 for adults, $2 for seniors, while children under 12 accompanied by an adult get in for free.
