The 6th Roberts Creek Scout group invites you to drop by Trail Bay Mall, IGA in Wilson Creek or Gibsons, and the Roberts Creek Store for Apple Day, this Saturday, Oct. 15. Many of our members will be on hand to offer you delicious apples. This is a fundraiser and all funds will support group activities and help towards our trip to the Canadian Jamboree in Nova Scotia in 2017.
Calling our neighbours and newcomers for a welcome potluck to be held this Sunday, Oct. 16, starting at 5 p.m. at Roberts Creek Hall. Everyone is welcome and it is free … just bring food to share. There will be live music this Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Gumboot Restaurant. This week the Gumboot welcomes The Remnants. Next week Fat Fish are coming. Time is 6 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday.
I wonder how many enjoyed Slow Sundays in the Creek this past summer? I know I did when I had the opportunity to go. A big hand to Graham Walker and his team for a job well done – another great musical/family event only in the Creek!
