The winter season of pickleball begins this Saturday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. at Roberts Creek School. There will be three courts in action for different levels, with instructions and introduction in the first half hour. All equipment supplied. Cost will be $3 to $4 depending on turnout. Also on Saturday, Oct. 8, enjoy Rhoneil and invisible friends at the Gumboot Café. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door. There is live music at the Gumboot Restaurant every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Enjoy a great dinner and listen to Jim Taylor on Oct. 12.
Coming up on Saturday, Oct. 15 is the Roberts Creek Scouts annual Apple Day. Visit the youth at Claytons Heritage Market, IGA in Wilson Creek and Gibsons, and at the Roberts Creek Store. All funds earned will help towards local activities and a trip to the Canadian Jamboree in Nova Scotia next summer. We appreciate your support.
