There is dinner at the Legion this Friday, Oct. 3, with live music by Dave Philley from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Brain Freeze Trivia follows from 7:30 until 10 p.m.
On Saturday, Oct. 4, enjoy DJ Night at the Legion with Jet Pack and Blondtron starting at 9 p.m.
Every Tuesday at the Legion there is an Open Host Jam with A.D.D. 7:30 to 11 p.m. Everyone is invited.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Davis Bay Hall (5123 Davis Bay Road) there will be a beginning seed saving workshop with Leonie Croy and Maria Hunter, Saving Seeds That Sustain Us. You will learn a couple of seed cleaning methods and go home with a seed saving handout and a package of seeds. Class fee is $10. Please pre-register: [email protected]. Presented by the Live and Learn Program of the One Straw Society and funded by a grant from the Vancouver Health SMARTFund.
The 6th Roberts Creek has just started a new Sea Scout Troop (11 to 14, co-ed) and are looking for new members. It is the same Scout Program with elements of the sea added, such as sailing, kayaking and canoeing. For details, call 604-885-2282.
